Runbom and Tapper AB as it used to be called, was established in Nässjö 1987 by Ken Tapper and Bernt Runbom.
The company was from the beginning a pure agency type of company, but has since 2000 its own rubber and plastic production.
Tapper Sealing Technology is a separate company, but has always functioned as the development, production and export division of RUTAB.
Paul Tapper has been the CEO since the start in 1987.

RUTAB was founded, it's first sales year was 1988.
The company's primary field is electrical installation material marketed to wholesalers and OEM's. |
1997 |
Bonab Komponent AB was acquired – at that time they produced rubber grommets in Thailand. |
2000 |
The production in Thailand is closed and instead RUTAB developed and launched a fully automated rubber production in Nässjö, with Rutaseal and Rutaseal Light. |
2001 |
RUTAB A/S is established in Norway. |
2005 |
Klikseal is launched internationally at Hannover Messe. |
2007 |
TSS is launched at Hannover Messe.
35% of RUTAB and TST is acquired by Nordstjernan. |
2009 |
Rutab acquires 100% of Treotham AB.
Design-a-Flange is launched. |
2012 |
Rutab acquires 100% of AB Novum. |
2013 |
80% of Rutab is acquired by Addtech (including Nordtjernan’s 35%).
The 35% of TST is bought back from Nordstjernan. |
2015 |
The TSS family expands with the addition of M40, PG sizes and a TSS Multi version. |
2016 |
The entire TSS sortiment in V0 material is launched. |
