Round surfaces
If you have a convex or a concave surface it is often not possible to use a sealing product made of hard materials, like a cable gland, to seal an opening as you cannot get a snug and tight fit.
However, round surfaces are not an issue for our grommets. Both our TSS and Rutaseal grommets are made of soft materials that adjust to and follow the shape of surface they are mounted in.
Simply push the grommet into the opening that is to be sealed, and it will adjust itself to the radius of the material and seal the opening. Then just push the membrane out using the cable or pipe you want to install. Installation has never been simpler!
Even if a cable or pipe is not installed from the beginning, our grommets with their pop-out membranes will protect what is inside your enclosure.
