Saving:

They had tried both cheaper donut seals as well as cable glands, the former having problems with IP-levels and the latter being a rather expensive solution. The sheet metal became deformed as the cables put quite a bit of sideways force on the cable glands.  72-74% lower product cost compared to glands.
