The Czech government decided on 23.03.2020 to tighten the rules for commuters. Czech commuters who want to continue working in Germany and Austria have to book accommodation there. The regulation will come into effect on 26.03.2020 and should initially apply for three weeks. After returning to the Czech Republic, commuters can expect a quarantine of 14 days. Commuters are registered when crossing the border.

From 27.03. cross-border commuters in Poland will be subject to a 14-day carantane. According to current information, truck drivers are not subject to the quarantine regulations. This would mean that those Polish drivers who do not enter Poland with a loaded truck will not be subject to a 14-day domestic quarantine, provided that they are in a neighboring country of Poland, e.g. Germany are busy. Other cross-border commuters who are not in the company as drivers but e.g. employed as warehouse clerk, dispatcher, etc., would, however, currently fall under the quarantine provision.
